Assess The Fifty

The [DA] Top 50 is independently assessed by a panel of senior practitioners with direct knowledge of the markets, institutions and policy environments being considered.

Their role is not to endorse the list. It is to test it.

Candidates are scored, challenged and rebalanced before BlockchainAPAC determines the final 50.

29 October 2026

The Role

The assessor panel brings independent judgement and sector depth to the methodology. Its purpose is to test where meaningful influence is being exercised and distinguish it from visibility alone.

  • One

    Assess The Candidates

Candidates are considered across five pillars: institutional position, policy proximity, capital deployment, technical contribution and ethical alignment.

Assessment is qualitative and evidence based. Assessors are expected to explain their judgement, not simply provide a score.

  • Two

    Challenge The List

The panel comes together to test the emerging list: challenging individual positions, identifying gaps and examining the balance across sectors.

The panel informs the assessment. BlockchainAPAC retains responsibility for the final 50. No partner, sponsor or external organisation has input into the outcome.

  • Three

    Protect The Process

Candidates, scores and panel deliberations remain confidential until the list is revealed in Sydney on 29 October 2026.

Assessors are publicly identified as members of the panel. Individual scores and deliberations are not disclosed.

Who We Select

The panel is deliberately limited.

We look for senior practitioners with direct, current knowledge of the market, demonstrated judgement and expertise that strengthens the assessment process.

The panel is balanced across sectors and selected to protect its independence from commercial interests in the outcome.

Applications are reviewed. Appointment is at the discretion of BlockchainAPAC.
