[DA] Top 50Impact List2026

The Benchmark for Influence in Australia’s Digital Asset Sector

Sydney · October 2026

The Purpose

Digital assets are no longer developing at the edge of the financial system. Banks are engaging. Payment providers are adapting. Institutional capital is moving. Regulators are setting the boundaries.

The lines between digital assets, payments and traditional finance are becoming harder to draw. The question is no longer who is building the sector, but who determines how it connects to the wider financial system.

The [DA] Top 50 identifies impact.

They sit across digital asset businesses, banking, payments, market infrastructure, investment, technology, regulation and public policy.

Some build new rails. Some control access to existing ones. Some deploy capital. Some set policy.

We do not rank influence, we map it.

  • Change-makers.
  • Builders.
  • Gatekeepers.
  • Decision-makers.
  • Enablers.

50 Names.
One Countdown.

The ranking is revealed live from #50 to #1 in front of the people shaping Australia’s digital asset sector.

The reveal creates the moment.

Recognition, reaction and conversation happen in the room, then travel immediately into the market.

The programme around it creates the longevity.

One night at the centre.
Twelve months of relevance wrapped around it.

The Methodology

The [DA] Top 50 is assembled through a structured process. It is not a vote. It is an annual exercise in mapping where impact actually sits in Australia’s digital asset sector.

  • Step One

    Landscape Scan

The BlockchainAPAC team compiles a long list of 500+ candidates across multiple sectors. Sources include regulatory filings, capital markets data, policy submissions, media analysis and industry intelligence.

  • Step Two

    Pillar Scoring

Each candidate is assessed on institutional position, policy proximity, capital deployment, technical contribution and ethical alignment. Scoring is qualitative, not algorithmic. The assessor panel debates positioning, weighting and sector balance.

  • Step Three

    Assessor Panel Review

A shortlist of 80 is presented to the panel for challenge, rebalancing and selection. The panel includes senior advisers with cross-sector expertise.

  • Step Four

    Final Selection

The final 50 is locked by BlockchainAPAC. No external party has input into the outcome.

The Reference

The [DA] Top 50 is carried into policy discussions, private briefings, investor sessions, industry meetings and international engagement.

The list is compiled methodically, open to public input and involvement, fact checked by industry leaders and independently assessed.

We don’t simply publish and walk away.

The purpose is simple: to put that record in front of the people who need to understand where influence sits.

A compounding reference from 2023, 2024 and 2025.
